Cloudy Noise ( Graduation Project ) |

When I close my eyes, listening to any kind of music.
I, in depth, try to negotiate the visual form to what any certain sound could be.
I imagine how the sound flutters, vibrations and births into a space and then folds away the next moment.

I believe, Cloudy Noise was a search for how I interact with sound, searching my capabilities to produce and create these parallel similarities, and how they might share a connection with images.

When I close my eyes, and I listen to music, my body moves and flows according to the sounds present, and in my some way letting the frequencies guide your movement. In this manner, its often letting you body hear and letting the mind wonder in the abyss.

This project embodies these two respected ways of interacting with co-ordinated and arranged sounds, dancing and imagining. I tried to bring these images I see, into the real world, in-front and confronting.

I paid special intention to how I could let the audio sequence control the visual matter/noise being projected, this was confronted with many different allocations of new software as well and learning news ways to create images.

My goal for my graduation project was to perform, a piece of music, controlling inputs of images that I created, that are projected onto a structure I built. I wanted to create an environment of observation, a space for dance or imagination. The beauty of this project to me, was that every time I worked on it, something new would occurred, trying to introduce all these aspects of creation, allowed myself, and the audience, to only see the project, all rigged up together, at the very end.

Within this page, I’ve added some process grabs that might help with understanding the outcome.
Apologies for the poor quality in some files, I became aware of the difficulties of filming in no light conditions.
